Come out and experience CSC and Black Lash this Saturday 12/7/13 in Denver! We are facilitating our signature Social Imagination workshop and following it up with a live hip hop show from Black Lash. The workshop explores social justice principles through arts engagement and will be geared toward adults and mature young people. It It is a great introduction to the foundations of the CSC 3… and it’s fun! The show kicks off at 6:00 with Selecta SunRa on the 1’s and 2’s, and a set of conscious hip hop music from Black Lash. Don’t miss the innovative artistry of K. Salim Ajanku and Kokayi Donladi, carrying forward cultural traditions, expanding into new dimensions, and galvanizing the soul of the people, also featuring the powerful voice Stevanie Williams.
This event is the final kick for the Race Matters? crowd funding campaign, donations are encouraged. CSC is raising $7000 by Dec. 9 for the production of Race Matters?. The timely and compelling, interactive performance is part of the national movement to decriminalize the popular image of black men.
