On December 6th, we kicked off our Community Cypher Project with 13 youth leaders from various schools in the Denver-Metro area. These leaders quickly dove into the discussions of culture and identity and the work we will be doing involving the school to prison pipeline. The group varies in experiences and identities and that is one of the driving forces that help propel them to use their artistic talents for the sake of social justice. As this program continues and the participants get deeper in the subject, we strive to help them create an artistic show that helps teach and dismantle the school to prison pipeline.
The Community Cypher Project wouldn’t be possible without a handful of community partners. Creative Strategies would like to like thank
