Since the start of CSC, we have received grant support from a few organizations that believe in our goals and vision.
The Chinook Fund provides critical seed funding and infrastructural support to grassroots community organizations working for social justice and human rights across the state of Colorado. Creative Strategies for Change was recently named as a grantee recipient for 2016.
Eulipions fund is a grant provided by the Denver Foundation to foster, promote, preserve artistic expression and emphasis on Colorado’s African-American heritage and lifestyle. In 2016 Creative Strategies for Change became a grantee recipient for its work in the community.
Innovate for Good with Rose Community Foundation
Innovate for Good with Rose Community Foundation is a philanthropic challenge to find and fund new ideas. In 2016, Innovate for Good focused on ideas to empower youth to be agents of change in the community.
IMAGINE 2020 vision for creating a future for Denver’s culture includes that the integration, amplification, and accessibility of Arts, culture and creativity are fully integrated in the daily life, work and play in Denver. Creative Strategies for Change was one of 14 to receive funding from Imagine 2020 in 2016 as part of their plan for Denver through Denver Arts & Venue.
2016 Race and Justice Design Challenge Mini-Grants
The Denver Office of Community Affairs, on behalf of Mayor Michael Hancock, announced funding is available to residents and civic organizations, who develop community driven projects designed to unite youth and law enforcement officers, promote inclusion and equality for more connected neighborhoods, identify and address community needs, cultivate and restore a climate of hope. In 2016 Creative Strategies for Change received this grant in partnership with RedLine Denver to launch the pilot of their Community Cypher Project.
The purpose of Colorado Creates, Colorado Creative Industries’ largest annual competitive grant program, is to provide financial support that helps nonprofit cultural organizations and communities produce and present arts and cultural activities, bringing jobs to their communities and enhancing the quality of life. In 2016 Creative strategies received funding for our community programs.
